This model has an ergonomic longer handle with lighter, thin blades, adjustable tension and a removable finger support. It is designed to decrease hand strain and finger calluses. The handles have tapered holes designed to distribute pressure evenly around fingers and decrease pressure points. They are suitable for stylist that use scissors extensively and have developed calluses.
The handles are designed to be slightly longer than the blades. This allows for greater torque across the Ruby’s cutting edges than conventional designs. The strain on the hand is reduced because it takes less force to cut. This effect is secondary to increased torque that is an inherent property of this design.
The scissors have adjustable tension mechanism that regulates pressure on the cutting edge. This allows the operator to set and fine tune the scissors until optimum fell and performance are achieved.
The finger rest provides additional control of the scissors. It can be removed thus to add a extra degree of flexibility.
